What We Collect

Rarest is designed to be privacy-friendly. We do not require accounts or personal information.

• Anonymous Player ID: A random identifier stored in your browser's localStorage. This is never linked to your identity.
• Game Answers: The answers you submit to daily prompts are stored on our server to calculate rarity scores across all players.
• Party Room Data: If you create or join a party room, your chosen display name and answers within that room are stored temporarily (24 hours).

What We Don't Collect

• No email addresses, real names, or personal identifiers
• No location data
• No cookies for tracking
• No third-party analytics

Local Storage

We use your browser's localStorage to save:

• Your anonymous player ID
• Game statistics (games played, streak, scores)
• Language preference
• Whether you've seen the cookie notice

You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

Advertising

We may display ads from Google AdSense in the future. When ads are enabled, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your visit to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings.

Data Retention

Game answer data is retained indefinitely to maintain historical rarity scores. Party room data is automatically deleted after 24 hours.

Children's Privacy

Rarest is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
